If you missed ZZ Top and The Doobie Brothers at Chateau Ste. Michelle at the end of August, don’t worry – you have another chance to catch the legendary band’s soulful musical stylings at The Classic Northwest. On the evening of September 30, The Doobie Brothers will be joined by another iconic musical group, the Eagles, and combined the two bands are sure to deliver an unforgettable performance.
The Eagles and The Doobie Brothers teamed up with Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Earth Wind & Fire and Steely Dan for The Classic concert series in July. The series included The Classic West in Los Angeles and The Classic East in New York. The Classic Northwest with The Eagles and The Doobie Brothers could be the last of the series, so diehard fans should jump on the wagon and get tickets ASAP.
The concert series has garnered rave reviews so far. One attendee in LA could only say “Sorry lost for words IT WAS THE BOMB!!!!!” with several more exclamation points for emphasis. Another said “The whole show was amazing. Still can’t believe I was there” and several mentioned that this was a “bucket list” kind of event for them.
With the recent passing of Glenn Frey, some concertgoers were doubtful that The Eagles would be able to pull off a performance of past hits but the fill-in guitarists and singers, none other than Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, Glenn’s own son, were huge crowd-pleasers. Their songs were noted by many as the most powerful and memorable moments of the whole show. No word for sure, but it’s a good bet that Deacon might fill in again for his dad at The Classic Northwest.
If you’ve always wanted to see some of the world’s most acclaimed rock icons in real life, The Classic Northwest is your chance. There’s no telling how long these epic bands will keep touring so seize the moment and buy yourself a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you’ll never forget!
