Fox Hollow Family Farm in Issaquah is always an amazing place to visit with feathered friends as well as four legged ones. But folks go 'hog wild' when this special place opens up their doors - their barn doors that is... for a big sale! We were there for their latest sale, which started on June 12th.
Autumn Ridnell is the owner here, and once in a while she sells pieces from her personal collection, in addition to other items carried in the farm's retail store.
"I've traveled all over the United States collecting antiques," she said with a grin.
We asked her to show us a few of her favorites. First up, large a metal Stimson scale people used in the mercantiles back in the 1800s.
Next, a colorful mix of new and old dishes.
"Some of these are vintage! We have a lot of the Fiestaware over there and jadeite and milk glass," said Ridnell. "Those are all hugely collectible."
Antique chocolate and candy molds, old pulleys and an old train light were also available - just waiting for the right person to discover them and take them home.
Then, there are those things too big to fit in a barn, including a white horse carriage fit for a princess.
"This is a carriage made by Justin Carriage back east, and we used it with our draft horses to pull our customers around on the farm," said Ridnell. Originally $13,500, it was on sale for $8,000.
If vinyl is your old-school jam, this will be music to your ears. Ridnell showed us a a 1950's jukebox.
"All the records are authentic and a lot of Elvis." The piece was was priced at $2,000.
Other unique items for sale included a vintage refrigerator and steamer trunk.
"Everyone has a different idea of a treasure, so that's what I think is neat about this sale is there's so much everywhere... and something for everyone," said Ridnell.
