New home, new theme for the 2017 Sheraton Gingerbread Village

There are a few things that signify the imminence of the holidays; the Christmas commercials and events, Starbucks holiday cups, Black Friday steals and deals, etc. etc.

However - the one thing that ALWAYS signifies the holidays in Seattle is the Sheraton's annual Gingerbread Village!

The amount of squeals that came out of me just now is INSANE (and slightly embarrassing). I really do love that sweet little village.

In it’s 25th year, the theme of the Gingerbread Village is 25 Years of Cheer: A Celebration of Seattle.”

If you're unfamiliar, the Gingerbread Village is an annual event where Seattle's top architecture firms, master builders and Sheraton culinary teams get together to make the most epic gingerbread houses known to man.

Last year's theme, if you'll remember - was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (need a reminder? We did a full gallery of this amazingness).

And new this year, the Village will move from the hotel's lobby to right across the street at the City Centre. This will allow pedestrians to get a view of display from across the streets, and give the Village the space it needs while Sheraton is undergoing a refresh.

Mark your calendars, the Gingerbread Village opens next month on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 and will run through Monday, January 1, 2018. Viewing hours of the display are Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
