NYE Guide: Where to CHEERS 2018

Happy (almost) New Year! This time of year allows us to reflect, to think about who we want to become in 2018 and the goals we plan on achieving... Ahhhh, who am I kidding! New Years is an excuse to party! If you don't have any plans or are just looking to get out and try something new, we've rounded up some of the events that are happening around town. Happy holiday-ing, folks.

Six Seven. The Edgewater's Six Seven Restaurant & Lounge will be offering a special New Years Eve menu that will be available during two seatings.

  • Seating #1 at 5:30 pm ($85 per person), a four-course menu with menu highlights including: Lobster Bisque, Herb-Marinated Burrata, Cedar Plank King Salmon, and Flourless Chocolate Torte.
  • Seating #2 at 8:30 pm ($120 per person), a five-course menu with menu highlights including: Raw Oysters and Hamachi Crudo, Seared Scallops, Petite Endive & Pear Salad, Roquefort-Crusted Filet Mignon, and Citrus Crème Brûlée.

Shelter Lounge Greenlake. Shelter will be hosting a trivia night at their Greenlake location from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and then letting DJ Sidlicious take over! They will also be serving a complimentary glass of champagne and a toast at midnight! Reservations are recommended.

Eden Hill. Eden Hill will have a five-course prix fixe dinner! The menu offers Venison Tartare with fermented elderberry vinaigrette and a country pate Scotch egg, Sous Vide Lobster with great northern bean and coriander sauce, and Wagyu Ribeye with smoked bone marrow and red wine caramel. For dessert, a "dark chocolate ball drop." Dinner is $105 per person with two wine pairing options for additional pricing. Seatings from 4:30-10:30 p.m.

Agrodolce. Agrodolce will have a brunch and dinner option. The Southern Italian and Sicilian restaurant will serve a four-course Mediterranean Brunch for $35 per person from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The dinner is also a four-course meal for $90 per person. Seatings will be at 5 p.m., 7:45 p.m., and 10:30 p.m. Remember that reservations are required!

The Herbfarm. The Herbfarm is hosting an extravagant dinner celebrations! There will be live music, festive decor, and both old-and-new-world wines from their 25,000-bottle cellar. Dinner is $395 per person at 8 p.m. Festive attire is encouraged!

RN74. Get your French cuisine on at RN74! They will be hosting a five-course French meal including Smoked Maple Leaf Farm’s Duck Breast with apricot mostarda; Mishima Ranch Filet Mignon with Matsutake mushrooms; Le Bar Aux Chocolate with passion fruit en chemise and more. There are two different wine pairing options for the five-course NYE dinner, a $79 Grand Wine Paring, or a $99 Champagne Pairing. Dinner is $115 per person.

Ray's Cafe. Ray's Cafe is open on New Years Day and a good place for you to get a little hair of the dog! Enjoy some Bloody Mary's garnished with house-smoked salmon, alongside their famous Fish & Chips all day! Ray's will be open 11:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Belltown Brewing. Belltown Brewing will be serving up specially curated appetizers such as Beet Carpaccio with pistachios and fourme de ambert, or Shaved Brussels Sprouts with escarole, cranberry and almond salad. The main course will be a prime rib dinner featuring Herb Crusted Prime Rib, Huckleberry Jus, Horseradish Duchess Potatoes, Roasted Root Vegetables and Sherried Mushrooms. Option to substitute with a succulent Seared Coho with herb butter.For dessert, there will be either Flourless Chocolate Torte with burnt orange caramel or Tiramisu. AND for beer, the real reason you would go here, options include a Mexican Chocolate Stout, Vermont Slice of Pie Pumpkin Pale Ale, and a PBL White IPA. Dinner is $32 per person, not including beer. Reservations are strongly encouraged, 11:30 a.m. – 1 a.m., with the holiday menu available starting at 5 p.m.

Local 360. Looking for a place to have some breakfast? Local 360 will be serving up a Farmers Breakfast with eggs, choice of meat, homefries, and either a biscuit or a waffle with seasonal fruit. They will also have dinner options with menu items like Smoked Salmon with leek vinaigrette, Roasted Duck Breast with rutabaga puree, kale, and cherry duck jus, and dessert - Theo Chocolate Mousse. YUM. Dinner is $49 per person and the restaurant will be open from 9 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Tilth. Tilth's menu includes Kumamoto Oysters or Roasted Root Vegetable Salad, Spice Rubbed Quail with couscous, pistachio, and pomegranate. The main course offers three options including Cioppino, a seafood stew featuring king crab, scallops, and arctic char or Slow Roasted Lamb with sprout, pommes puree, and huckleberry or Heirloom Bean Cassoulet with foraged & found mushroom, truffle, and bread crumbs with an option to make this dish vegan. For dessert - creamy Cashew-Coconut Cheesecake. The four course meal is $95 per person.

Tutta Bella. The pizza joint is hosting their annual New Years Eve party at the South Lake Union location! Not only do they have bangin' pizza, craft cocktails, live music, and dancing but they also have sick views of the Space Needle for the fireworks! They have two reservation options:

Option One: ($30 per person)

  • Reserved table inside the restaurant
  • Live music
  • Complimentary Prosecco toast at midnight for guests 21+
  • Food and beverages can be purchased from the menu at regular prices

Option Two: ($25 per person) (ages 21+)

  • Guests do not need to reserve their space outside
  • This option allows for people to enjoy fireworks outside, with a complimentary bubbly toast at midnight.
  • Food and beverages can be purchased outside from the menu at regular prices.

Snoqualmie Casino. Is there a place that screams par-tay more than a casino?! Snoqualmie will be hosting a party with craft Grey Goose speciality cocktails, live performers, aerialists, and music from DJ Jen Jones. VIP tickets include two drink tickets, access to the exclusive VIP area with a dedicated beverage server. General admission tickets are $20 each and VIP tickets are $40. This event is for 21+ only.

Lark. This Cap Hill fav will be hosting their four-course dinner! It's $125 per person with an optional wine pairing for $55 per person. Reservations are required! Some menu items include Stellar Bay oysters, Champagne air, Castlevetrano olive relish, Burrata with Castlefranco radicchio, sauce gribiche, tender herbs, olive oil croutons, Butternut squash & ricotta cappelletti, brown butter emulsion, apple, fried salsify, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano and much much more!

Heartwood Provisions. Heartwood Provisions is serving up a unique six-course dinner menu with champagne pairings! Dishes will range from oysters to filet mignon with champagne pairings from Krug to Dom Perignon. The restuarant will open at 4 p.m. and reservations are suggested!

W Bellevue. The W Bellevue is going to have both a super fun party to bring in the New Year and a special brunch the following day to nurse your hangover. The party will have music by DJ Supreme with VIP tables and a champagne toast at midnight. The party starts at 9 p.m. and will go until 2 a.m. And for the hangover brunch will be served from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. with all you can eat pancakes and buffet! It's $30 and includes a ~complimentary mimosa~ for a little hair of the dog!

Resolution. This rave is on New Years Eve, Eve at the WaMu Theatre. If you want to make the weekend a full on party then you gotta start it off with Resolution! Headliners include Alesso, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City and more! Tickets are $82+. Rave starts at 6:30 p.m.

Benaroya Hall. Listen to some live music with Benaroya's "Great Balls of Fire!" The symphony will be playing the greatest hits from George Gershwin, Elton John, Ray Charles, John Lennon, and more with dancing until midnight! There will also be a countdown and a champagne toast. The event starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $67++.

New Year's Eve pARTy. Watch the fireworks from THE best place in town, Chihuly Gardens. Tickets are $250, but this gets ya appetizers and desserts, two drink tickets, live music and dancing, a tour of the exhibits, and a champage toast at midnight. Event is 21+. Event starts at 9 p.m. and goes until 1 a.m.

Indulgence. MoPop is hosting this event with crowds expected to get up to 2,000 people! There are three performance stages, comedy, live dance music, and access to most of the exhibits! Starts at 9 p.m.

Spectra 2018: New Year's Eve Under the Arches. PacSci is hosting their event, Spectra, that will have laser shows, science exhibits and live demonstrations, games, dancing, a champagne toast, a cash bar, food, and great views of the Space Needle for fireworks! Ages 21+. Tickets are $85 for non members and $80 for members.

Hale's Ales Palladium. Hale's Ales is hosting their New Year's Eve Extravaganza which is a variety show put on by the Moisture Festival. There will be appetizers, midnight toast with champagne and a balloon drop! Adult general mission is $75 and $50 for kiddos 12 and under.

Marine Hardware. Marine Hardware will have a five-course meal for $85 per person with a wine pairing for an additional $50 per person. The meal starts with four dishes to share and ends with goodies like truffled, bonbons, and cookies.

Bramling Cross. Bramling Cross has a four-course dinner for $85 per person. The menu includes five dishes for the whole table to enjoy and includes potato pancakes with caviar, and beef tartare. Other dishes include rigatoni with duck confit, caramelized shallots, and Tuscan kale, and pan roasted scallops with fennel confit and blood orange, and pork tenderloin with Brussels sprouts, crispy parsnip, and garlic gastrique, and tiramisu. Wine paring is offered for $30/person and beer pairing for $20/person.

Staple & Fancy's. For $85 per person, the menu includes gnocchi with smoked mussels and saffron crema, seared sea scallops with cauliflower, chickpea fritters, blood orange, and kohlrabi, and grilled NY striploin with Cippolini onion, red wine sauce, and parsnip mash. Dessert offerings include a Dulcey chocolate cremeux, cheesecake with honey glazed kumquats, and Champagne sorbet. Add on white truffles for $25, caviar with oyster for $10, or wine pairing for $50/person.

Bar Cotto. Over in the Cap Hill neighborhood, Bar Cotto is serving up a meal that is $55 per person. The menu includes main courses such as a funghi pizza, braised pork cheeks with polenta, or potato gnocchi with beef ragu—and dessert options include a warmed brownie with vanilla gelato, salted caramel sauce, and cracker jack topping. An optional wine paring is offered for $25/person.

Anchovies & Olives. A & O's has a five-course dinner for $85 per person. The menu features delcious items like crudo, salads, spot prawns, foie gras, spot prawn paccari, black cod and Mishima Ranch New York steak. The also have add-on's including Perigord truffle risotto for $25, a wine pairing for $45, or a bubbly starter of three oysters and a glass of Prosecco for $17.

How to Cook a Wolf. This Queen Anne restaurant is serving a four-course dinner for $85 per person. The menu includes foie gras mousse bruschetta with huckleberry agrodolce and Ahi crudo with pomegranate, radish, chili, with second and third course options range from gnocchi with Dungeness crab and uni, braised shortrib with horseradish gremolata, and seared black cod. Add on truffles for $15/gram, kusshi oysters with Prosecco ice for $3.5/each, or a wine pairing for $40/person.

Mkt. Mkt. will host a five-course dinner at $85 per person. Menu items include oysters on the half shell with paddlefish caviar and beef carpaccio, black truffle ravioli with stracchino, and brown butter, pan seared halibut, and finally, a grilled lamb chop with roasted black figs and chestnut puree. Dessert options range from an orange dark chocolate tart to a frangipane pear tart. Add on black truffle for $15.

Red Cow. Head on out to Madrona for Red Cow's delicious four-course meal for $85 per person. The meal begins with oysters on the half shell, bone marrow with toasted baguette, marinated olives, grilled haricot verts, and potato leek soup for the table. Following courses include a frisee salad with bacon and poached egg, lamb rack with flageolet beans, scallops with creamed leeks, and Valrhona white chocolate and vanilla bean crème brulee. Wine paring is available for $50/person.

Rione XIII. Here's another Ethan Stowell for ya! Rione will be serving up a four-course meal for $85 per person. The meal will begin with a selection of starters for the table like Prosciutto di Parma and bruschetta with burrata and pear. Options for the following courses include sheep’s ricotta ravioli with chestnuts and leeks, half a lobster with grilled sunchokes, beef tenderloin with hedgehog mushrooms and Brussels sprouts, and tiramisu with ladyfingers. Wine pairing is available for $45/person.

Tavolàta. Both Tavolàta locations, Belltown and Capitol Hill, will be serving up a four-course meal for $85 per person. Dinner starts with Hamachi crudo and fried risotto with pig trotter, taleggio, and tomato sauce. Pasta options include “The King”—rigatoni with spicy sausage and tomato, linguine with geoduck and uni, and winter squash ravioli. The main course options include Wagyu Zabuton, fresh truffle risotto, duck breast, or sea scallops and dessert choices include Tavolàta’s famous lemon zeppole with chocolate ganache and salted caramel sauce. Bruciato. Across the street from Hitchcock is Bruciato! Bruciato's menu is a little bit more casual. They will have Pizza ala Rossini, yellow finn potato blinis, and oregon black truffle and ricotta cannelloni. They will also be serving up some delicious by the glass selections of wines and will have a Franciacorte toast at midnight.

Frolik. Bring in the New Year at Motif Hotels "Frolik & Fiz." Frolik & Fizz will be on the Motif's rooftop and will feature a live DJ with complimentary champagne for a midnight toast. The party starts at 8 p.m. and runs until 1 a.m. with tickets priced at $35 beofre December 26th and $85 following the 26th.

Quinn's Pub. Quinn's Pub on the hill will be open regular Sunday hours and will have happy hour from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. with $2.00 off menu cocktail, half off drafts, $5.00 glass of red or white wine.
