Washington state has the most holiday spirit in U.S.

I have to be honest, and quite frankly blasphemous, but you are looking at slight scrooge here.

I know, it's terribly sad. Not for me, but yes, for the majority of Washingtonians who are crazy for Christmas.

Cutting down a tree? Why? They are supposed to be outside. Decorating cookies? More like preparing for a gut bomb and heartburn from eating all the raw dough. Anyways - this isn't about me. This is about all of you Christmas loving boys and gals.

According to a survey by Century Link, Washington state loves Christmas the most-est out of all the U.S. states. Century Link analysts compared data in two main categories: online activity and area culture.

Online Activity

  • Google searches for Christmas movies and gingerbread houses
  • Google shopping trends for wrapping paper, Christmas cards, Christmas ornaments and Elf on the Shelf
  • Christmas music streaming
  • Tweeting about Christmas

Area Culture

  • Number of Christmas tree farms per capita
  • Charitable giving

So there you have it, Washington. You are one festive gal! Here's the full list of the top 10 for curiosities sake:
