Oh Keg Tree, Oh Keg Tree: Pyramid Alehouse constructs giant 'Christmas Tree' with 322 kegs

Update on 12/13/19: The Pyramid Brewing Keg Tree Lighting and the donation ceremony raised $100,000 to the Food Lifeline of Western Washington.

Now this is my kind of Christmas tree!

In place of a traditional tree, Pyramid Alehouse built their own tree out of 322 kegs which is the largest keg tree on the west coast. Think about the endless keg stand possibilities!

The keg tree stands at about 24 feet tall and weighs a *slight* 13,500 pounds. It's been beautifully decorated using over 1,300 feet of LED rope lights and shines like the diamond it is. The tree will be topped with a Pyramid Brewing neon sign.

The official "tree lighting" will happen on Saturday, November 30 with a celebration starting at 5 p.m. Entry is free and there will be beers served in the beer garden. There will also be chainsaw ice sculpting, live reindeer, a DJ, and a donation of $100,000 to Food Lifeline at 6 p.m.

You can visit the keg tree until January 2020 and then all those magical kegs will be disassembled and the holiday season ~will be over~ but will live forever in our hearts. Who needs a beer?
