{ }While many of Seattle's traditional, festive events have moved to a virtual experience in 2020, these landmarks are still spreading a little holiday cheer from a safe, Santa-approved social distance.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
Pike Place Market is covered head-to-toe in holiday lights, from illuminated carrot trees to old fashioned bulb lights strung across brick-lined paths. Be sure to look to the roof for a few of Rachel the Piggy Bank’s holiday friends. (Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
Usher in the holiday season with a socially-distanced stroll around Westlake Plaza and enjoy the festive, brightly lit trees and oversized gifts.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
Like clockwork, the former Macy’s Star is lit up again — but this year with a new look, meaningful purpose and a brand new name: Seattle Star.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
The traditional sign received a facelift from local sign business, Western Neon, adding 4000+ colorful, changing LED lights. New this year, people can purchase a 15-second or 30-second spot and design their own colorful display with a portion of the proceeds going to Mary’s Place.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
This year’s Westlake Center Tree Lighting event was held virtually, but the bright and happy LED tree will be up through the holidays for all to enjoy. (Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)

Continue on to Occidental Square for another bright yellow and white, 17-foot tree, perfectly positioned beneath the iconic Smith Tower.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
Can't get enough Christmas trees? Then head over to Fairmont Olympic for this year’s Festival of Trees window display.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
While the in-person event is canceled this season, the Fairmont Olympic has put on a stunning display of trees all viewable along 4th Avenue until December 3rd.{ } Decorated trees honor young patients from Seattle Children’s Hospital.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
Did you know there’s a real, living sequoia tree in downtown Seattle? This grand, 80-foot beauty is a stunner on its own – but with 2,000+ white LED lights it’s even better.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
Look to the sky and see a familiar icon with a new, festive top. Standing at 600-feet tall, the Space Needle kicks off the holidays by lighting up the most visible tree in the city every single year.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
The Space Needle's “tree” features 1,200+ LED lights on its rooftop, with a bright red, flashing beacon (used for air traffic control), or for Santa and his reindeer.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
While this year’s Winterfest is completely virtual, the Seattle Center’s annual Campus Luminata is beautifully decked out for all to safely enjoy. Thousands of lights, LED-wrapped trees and other illuminated displays can be seen after dark.{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
It wouldn’t be the holidays without a stroll down Snowflake Lane in Bellevue Square. While the main event, a nightly parade with live performances, is cancelled this year, Snowflake Lane is still spreading holiday cheer from the comfort of your car or by foot. Tip: You might even see “snow.”{ }(Image: Rachael Jones / Seattle Refined)
