Book Club Review: Here's what we thought of 'The Turner House'

Our May book club pick, "The Turner House" by Angela Flournoy - was wonderful story about family, and the connections we make in our childhood and adulthood.

We had the chance to talk with Flournoy herself about the book that has so many talking, and were impressed with how the stories of her own childhood correlated with those of the Turner family.

We won't give any spoiler alerts here (don't watch the video if you haven't finished) - but our discussion group at University Book Store regarding this #RefinedRead was one for the records. Not only did we have more members attend than we've ever had, but an incredibly compelling conversation.

We've already announced our June book as 'Anything is Possible' by Elizabeth Strout!

We'll be meeting to discuss this one on June 29 at the Mill Creek location. RSVP if you want to join, and sign up to join our bookclub here!
