Finally, fashion freedom for women. Universal Standard is an inclusive clothing brand that carries chic, modern clothing available in sizes 6-32.
The idea came when co-founder and fashionista Alex Waldman couldn't find anything in stores that expressed her style.
"I had things to shop from, but it was just a hodge-podgery of clothing," she said. 67 percent of U.S. women are wearing size 14 or above so it was time to toss traditional sizing out the window and set a new standard."
Waldman's previous work as a fashion journalist added to her inspiration on changing then fashion industry's size exclusivity.
"I got to see some incredible things," she said of her work. "But I never go to really participate in them."
It wasn't until she met co-founder and business-savvy Polina Veksler that her dream started to became a reality.
Now that's only a sneak peak, you've got to watch the video above if you want the whole story! Trust me, it's worth it.
