Seattle Goodwill is a great place to score entire summer outfits - without breaking the bank.
Stylist Jenna Maenhout from Styled Seattle pulled together five fashion forward ensembles - perfect for backyard barbecues, work, weddings - and more!
LOOK ONE: Picnic Prints
Outfit: Zara embroidered jeans (new with tags) + blue/white Nordstrom gingham shirt + bootie
Gingham and checkered prints are very on trend for summer. The blue and white Nordstrom shirt with the red embroider on the jean is a fun way to do Red, White and Blue for Memorial Day or 4th of July.
LOOK TWO: Sunny Office Chic
Outfit: LOFT black pants + yellow striped top + yellow linen blazer + espadrilles
It can be hard to figure out what to wear to work in the summer time. You obviously don’t want to show up to a meeting looking like you’re on beach vacation, but some acknowledgement of the warm weather is nice. Yellow is such a fun and happy trend color (and it pairs very well with staples like black pants that you may already own).
LOOK THREE: Neon Brights
Outfit: ASOS neon skirt + Banana Republic black and white polka dot blouse + black and white Coach shoes + vintage belt.
Summer is a time to have fun, and bright colors are definitely fun to wear. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns or pair loud floral prints with playful polka dots.
Stylist Tip: Think outside the box. The belt on this outfit is a vintage leather belt found in the men’s section.
LOOK FOUR: Pretty Prints
Outfit: Green maxi dress + sandals
Summertime usually brings special events like weddings, parties, reunions—you want to look your best without breaking the bank. Fashion Focus has a ton of great, on trend dresses, including designer labels and many styles that you would find in a department store for $200 or more.
LOOK FIVE: Juneuary
Outfit: Satin floral pants + Madewell striped sweater + strappy sandals + pink moto jacket
The Pacific Northwest is famously chilly in the early days of summer, so you may want to think about lightweight pants, sweaters and jackets in lighter colors.
