Ever heard of a helix tattoo? Us either! Until we saw it all over Instagram.....
Helix tattoos are basically just tiny tattoos that curve up around the edge (or the helix) of your ear.
It's as simple as that. Really.
Seoul-based tattoo artist Zihee, whose Instagram is filled with these tats is being credited for all the buzz around the trend. Check it out:

Now lets get to point already, are they a big trend in Seattle? I talked to an artist at Slave to the Needle in Seattle who told me the trend hasn't caught on yet here just, but they anticipate it's only a matter of time. So if you want to be ahead of the curve you know what to do! But there's a catch - we're told it hurts like a mother!
Remember - you could always just get a helix cuff earring, which essentially captures a similar effect without any piercings or tattoo needles. Or doll up your ears with make-up, no painful needle and it washes right off:
