Answering your toughest question: What to wear this Fourth of July

With this favorite summertime holiday being only days away, it's time to start thinking of that perfect outfit to celebrate in. I love a good theme. After all, the Fourth of July is the one day you can dress like an American flag and not feel like you're wearing a Halloween costume. Throw on that red, white and blue. The more patriotic, the better! Shine bright like a...firework (?) with these 4th of July picks.

Jean Shorts and a Tank: Seriously, what says 4th of July more than an American flag swimsuit ($60 at Nordstrom). Pair with jean shorts or white skinny jeans, throw this off the shoulder top ($38 at Nordstrom) on over the suit. I also love this Madewell "Folktale" off the shoulder top ($88 at Madewell) with a pair of cut off jean shorts and gladiator sandals. Or keep it simple with this retro stars and stripes tank ($29 at Urban Outfitters). Side-note, those off the shoulder tops are super in for summer, stock up!

A Romper/Jumpsuit : I'm pretty much obsessed with this Free People Jumpsuit ($108). Pair with a braid, red lips and a wedge. You can wear this look all summer long. If you're looking to spend less, try this H&M Jumpsuit in cornflower blue ($17.99).

Maxi or Sun Dress: Stay away from skin tight dresses this fourth (eat a burger, or a hot dog or both!) I know what I'm wearing this 4th. Love, Love, LOVE this navy and white wrap dress ($72 at Nordstrom). Super flattering on lots of different body types. This dress can be glammed up with curls and a bright lip, or more relaxed with a high pony and flats.

Don't forget to accessorize! If you're not in the market to buy a new outfit just wear jeans or jean shorts with a white shirt. Wrap your hair up with a blue or red bandanna (super cute!). A fresh mani/pedi can really "polish" your look (sorry, had to do it). If you want to look like America threw yup on you, head to Target or Tipsy Elf for the star spangled banner graphic tees.

Keep it classy! #MERICA
