Make your own Lemon Rosemary Scrub with just 4 ingredients

Just because you're WFH wearing your comfy sweatpants and that sweatshirt from college doesn't mean you can't add a little self-care to your life. In fact, you may actually need it.

In these uncertain and stressful times, it's SO important to take care of yourself. Here's the good news: you don't need to go out and buy more stuff. A trip to the salon, spa or beauty supply store may not be happening, but a walk to the bathroom is very doable. There's a good chance you have Epsom salt in there.

Go look; I'll wait.

Inexpensive and multi-purpose, Epsom salt can be dissolved in a warm water bath to help soothe aches and pains. Add a couple more staples, and you can use it as a scrub on your elbows, heels or anywhere. It's a great way to exfoliate. Epsom salt is the main ingredient in many bath scrubs, which are why it's SO SIMPLE to make on your own.

To whip up a delicious smelling Lemon Rosemary Scrub, you'll need that Epsom salt, Grape Seed Oil (in the kitchen pantry), Lemon Essential Oil and Rosemary Essential Oil. Reality check: just about any essential oil you have on hand will work.

This recipe makes enough to fill a pint-sized mason jar plus a half-pint.

  1. Mix up the Lemon Rosemary Scrub: 2 cups of Epsom Salt, mixed with 4-5 tablespoons of grapeseed oil, 15 drops of lemon oil and 5 drops rosemary essential oil. This probably goes without saying, but adjust the amount of essential oil to suit your personable preference.
  2. Scoop the scrub in the jars. Any leftover will keep nicely for a few months in an airtight jar.
  3. Make yourself a warm bath and dissolve some of your Lemon Rosemary Scrub in the water. Or take a nice warm bath and use the scrub exfoliate.
  4. Feel relaxed and smell really good.

It's that easy!
