Brandi Carlile and chef Maria Hines partner for Valentine's Day dinner + wine collab

Of course, Valentine's Day is about love, but it's also about wine and food (if you ask me).

That's why James Beard Award-winning chef Maria Hines and Brandi Carlile's XOBC Cellars are coming together for an epic wine and food experience beginning this Valentine's Day weekend.

The pop-up kicks off Feb. 13-14 with a three-course meal paired with two bottles of XOBC Cellars wine. It's available for tent-side, drive-up pickup at SODO Urban Works (3861 First Ave S. Suite F) from 10 a.m. to noon each day. The reheat-and-serve dinner ($225) includes:

  • Creamy Carrot Soup
  • Smoked Heirloom Bean Cassoulet
  • Dark Milk Chocolate Budino
  • Choice of two bottles of XOBC Cellars' wine-club member-exclusive Evangeline Rosé and Catherine Syrah OR Elijah Grenache and XO Sparkling Rosé

XOBC Cellars is a member-only winery, meaning this V-Day experience allows the public to purchase their exclusive wines. Brandi Carlile, her wife, Catherine, and Amy and Jeri Andrews are the four women behind XOBC. All of them are big fans of Hines — Amy and Jeri have even celebrated every anniversary and birthday at Hines' former restaurant, Tilth.

Proceeds will benefit the Looking Out Foundation, a nonprofit aiming to amplify the impact of music. While dinners are still currently available as of Wednesday, Feb. 10, they are expected to sell out due to limited quantity. Reserve a dinner and find more info online.
