There's a new apple in town to Rave about

Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Pink Lady - time to add a new varietal of apple to your shopping list: RAVE!

The new apple is a cross between Honeycrisp and MonArk, with Honeycrisp's juicy flavor and MonArk's zing.

Like all great apples, Rave Apples are grown in Washington state - central Washington, to be exact, starting in the Tri Cities and winding through Wenatchee, Chelan and the Okanogan region.

While Honeycrisp has taken over the apple market in terms of favorites, Rave is available three weeks before other apples, well before Honeycrisps returns to stores.

So no need to choose, you can have your Rave, and your Honeycrisps!

Because of this, the Rave season is short (August and September) - but we just tried them this week, and believe us - they're worth.

As of the posting of this article, Raves are available in Costco, Rosauer's, Super 1 Foods and Yokes Fresh Market. Check back on this page to see more options as demand grows and more people fall in love!
