If you know Seattle Refined at all, you know our obsession with food trucks is real! And our latest find has us absolutely giddy. It's so simple - but so good at the same time.
We're talking about Wicked Good Grinders!
A ton of people don't actually know what a grinder is.
"A grinder is a big sandwich, " said owner and native New Englander Joel Mathieson. "Sometimes we get people asking if we have coffee, or have industrial equipment - but we let them know pretty quick what we got."
From the meatball grinder to an eggplant parm, it's usually love at first bite for food lovers at the Wicked Good Grinders food truck.
"The meatball is the one near and dear to my heart," said Mathieson. "It's my own recipe and I make them all by hand. I don't think you can get a meatball grinder like this in Seattle."
It's that fact alone that made Mathieson want to start Wicked Good Grinders when he moved here in 2007.
"I noticed immediately that we could use some more stuff like this!" he said.
We are so glad he decided to grace Seattle with these Wicked Good Grinders. Pro Tip: Get the Steak and Cheese!
Wicked Good Grinders is a New England themed food truck serving East Coast style sandwiches such as steak & cheese, chicken parm, and handmade meatballs. These are the types of sandwiches you'd find in almost any New England pizzeria or grinder shop. The focus is on good old-fashioned food made with simple, high quality ingredients.
