Halal Guys. Shawarma for the win! On August 11th, the popular NYC place, Halal Guys, opened their doors in Pioneer Square. According to The Stranger, the chicken and beef gyro meat is great and so is their falafel!

Pokéworks. Because Washington hasn't had it's fix of Poké yet. Pokeworks just opened one of their latest chain restaurant in Bellevue, according to Eater. Their menu features eight pre-built signature bowls like Ahi tuna, sous vide shrimp, seaweed, cucumber, and ponzu sauce.

The Organic Coup. This is the best business idea ever. Organic fast food. The Organic Coup is a fast food chain that is set to open this fall in downtown Bellevue, according to Their food in non-GMO, antibiotic, hormone, chemical, and pesticide free. Menu items include daily breakfast, lunch and dinner with foods ranging from organic air-chilled sandwiches, salads, wraps, scrambled eggs, potatoes, acai bowls and more!

Pablo y Pablo. This new Mexican restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the new Tableau HQ building, one block from Gas Works Park. The Mexican joint will have lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch.

El Borracho. You know it, you love it. Seattle's El Borracho is opening their third location - this time in Tacoma! El Barracho opened their doors late last month in the Sixth Avenue neighborhood according to News Tribune.

Commonwealth. Commonwealth is a new Kentucky Bourbon focused bar in Belltown. The new bar is a new venture by the owners of Pintxo, Bar Abajo, and The Upstairs!

All Water Seafood & Oyster Bar. After 11 years, BOKA Restaurant + Bar has closed it's doors, but has made way for Hotel 1000's latest adventure: All Water Seafood & Oyster Bar! The new restaurant will have fresh seafood and will pay homage to the rich history of it's location. Opening date slated for late September.

Acme Tavern. This Tacoma dive bar shut its doors last month but was reopened to house another dive bar called, "The Camp Bar," according to the News Tribune.

The People's Pub. The Pub of the People is closing it's doors after 17 years of getting locals liquored up. The beloved dive bar's doors closed for good on August 12th. No word yet on what it will become, according to

Modern Steep Tea Company. The long standing Capitol Hill cafe shut its doors last month according to Seattle Mag. Owners cited on their Facebook page that the shut down can be attributed to many reasons but that most tea drinkers are getting their tea online these days. Sad to see them go!

Vestal, Cantine, and Poulet Galore. All of these Huxley Wallace restaurants have shut their door with the same notice posted, "Despite and amazing staff and effort we weren't able to make these concepts work in this location."
