Openings

Kidd Valley. Kidd Valley just opened their first waterfront location on August 2nd. Located at Pier 54 next to Ivar's Acres of Clams, Kidd Valley is known for their delicious burgers, fries, and milkshakes.

Pablo y Pablo. This new Mexican restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the new Tableau HQ building, one block from Gas Works Park. The Mexican joint will have lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch.

Next Level Burger. Next Level Burger is a 100 percent plant-based burger joint (anyone else confused?) that will open soon in the Roosevelt Square Whole Foods later this month.

Derby. The latest restaurant endeavor from Ethan and Angela Stowell, Derby, opened their doors on August 7! Derby is located within The Shop in the SoDo district. The restaurant will offer lunch, happy hour, dinner, and weekend brunch!

Sugar Factory. The famous sweets chain is finally opening their first Washington location in Bellevue according to Eater! Not only do they have extravagant sweet treats, they also have sweet and delicious cocktails. Something for everyone!

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. Anotha one. A ramen place, that is. This ramen restaurant opened their doors on August 5th in University Village, according to Eater. The menu will focus on tonkotsu broth and is made by boiling pork bones for 20 hours. Talk about worth the wait!

Japonessa. The popular Seattle restaurant is taking it's Japanese cuisine to the Lincoln Square expansion in Bellevue. The menu includes a Japanese core concept with hints of Latino flair. Japonessa is located on the first level of the Lincoln Square expansion.

Juice Press. Not only is pressed juice DELICIOUS, but this store is being opened by Russell Wilson so it's so much better, duh. According to Seattle PI, Wilson will be opening the juice store in University Village in the fall.

Metropolitan Grill. After a short closing in mid-June, The Met Grill reopened on August 14th after closing for restaurant renovations. Same menu, same food that you know and love but just a little fancier!

Bakery Nouveau. Bakery Nouveau is opening their Flagship bakery in Burien next month! The new bakery will be open daily, selling pastries, breads, and cakes! The new location will be there largest to date with 7,500 square feet. Stay tuned!

Gather Kitchen & Bar. This new food place is opening up in Ballard in late September! The menu will focus on both medium size plates and tapas with Spanish, French, Italian, and Latin influences.

Closings

Greenlake Spud Fish & Chips. This beloved Fish and Chips restaurant is closing it's doors and it's for reasons you won't like. The location is turning into an apartment complex, said Seattle Magazine. Urbanization people, urbanization! The good news is, is that after construction, Spud will find a new commercial location! In the meantime - you can visit Spud at their other locations in Alki, Edmonds, and Juanita Beach.
