10-year-old Donut Boy's mission is to personally thank every cop in the U.S.

Not all heroes wear capes, but that's not the case when talking about 10-year-old Tyler Carach, who proudly wears a cape that states his inspiring mission: "I DONUT need a reason to thank a cop."

And he means it! He recently flew all the way from Florida to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office in Mill Creek, WA to thank local officers with doughnuts.

But it's not really about the sweet treat, it's about a simple thank you.

"They protect us, they sacrifice their lives for family and strangers, so I wanted to thank them for their sacrifice," said Tyler.

Mom Sheena Carach said his passion started two year ago when he spotted some officers in his Florida hometown.

"Tyler asked if he could use his allowance money to buy them mini donuts," said Carach. "They were just super excited about it, and they took a bunch of photos with him."

As they walked away, Tyler asked his mom why the officers were so excited about a simple snack.

"I was like 'It wasn't because of the snack, it was the fact that you said thank you,'" she said.

That small gesture turned into a much bigger goal - to thank EVERY officer in the country. And twenty-two months later they are still rocking and rolling.

"He has been to 35 states now, and delivered 75,000 donuts," said the proud mother.

But his journey won't be over after he reaches his goal. When he gets older, he also wants to protect and serve, as a canine officer.
