Special Starbucks to open in UW's Suzzallo Library this fall

Sometimes stories come across your desk that are timed perfectly with your life. In this case, for me - it's writing this up while sitting on the U.W. campus having just stuffed several Starbucks Egg Bites in my mouth. Side note - if you haven't tried the new Sous Vide Egg Bites from Starbucks, just KNOW you're missing out.

University of Washington and Starbucks just announced that they'll be opening a new cafe inside of the campus' Suzzallo Library.

“We are pleased that Starbucks will be showcasing not only their coffee and environment, but that they are integrating the design elements of the historic Suzzallo Library,” said Lizabeth (Betsy) Wilson, vice provost for digital initiatives and dean of University Libraries. “Henry Suzzallo might be surprised to see a coffee shop in a library, but I think he would be pleased to see students using the library in ways he could not imagine. It would be beyond his wildest dreams.”

Those darn students get everything!

The cafe will be opening this fall, and will be the second on the university campus. The Starbucks team will take design elements of the existing library and implement them into their 4,000 square foot layout.

I mean, this couldn't be a sweeter collaboration. Studying and coffee go hand in hand! Oh and also, don't forget the egg bites. ;)

For more information, visit Starbucks online AND I will say it one more time, for good measure. EGG BITES, people. Egg bites.
