Located in the historic Marion Building that has been in Seattle since 1903, a steakhouse that's a cut above the rest serves the finest meat the city (and the country) has to offer.
Metropolitan Grill seeks to provide the highest quality to all of its guests, whether they're dining on hand-selected steaks in the restaurant or popping open a bottle of custom wine at home, courtesy of The Met Cellar Club.
The exclusive club offers three tiers, named Sommelier, Cellar Master, and Wine Director, each including quarterly deliveries of selected wines. You'll also get access to special member events that showcase various types of wines from different regions. Metropolitan Grill Wine Director Aaron Wood-Snyderman is happy to share his wine knowledge with members who are eager to learn about what they are tasting.
The next Cellar Club delivery in January will include a unique creation from Doubleback Winery Owner and Founder Drew Bledsoe and President & Director of Winemaking, Josh McDaniels. The new addition is called Ensemble, perhaps alluding to the way the dark cherry, red currant, and black plum flavors sing in harmony together.
Ensemble is predominantly a Cabernet from Doubleback's Lafore Vineyard, mixed with 22% Malbec from their Bob Healy Vineyard. It is the winery's first time producing a private blend for a restaurant. That blend is the perfect representation of a partnership forged with the goal of delivering quality and happiness to customers.
"In blending our two teams together, our focus was on quality, ensuring we provided a world-class wine experience with each sip of Ensemble," Bledsoe said.
Remember that the only way to enjoy the Ensemble blend is to become a Cellar Club member. If you already are signed up, you have nothing to worry about, and you can expect the new blend in your January shipment. Newcomers need to sign up by Dec. 31 to be eligible to receive Ensemble in the January collection.
Metropolitan Grill has built its reputation by featuring an award-winning wine selection at its restaurant and in its wine club. It belonged to a group of only seven restaurants in the world on the 2018 Wine Spectator Grand Award list, and it also was honored by Forbes as one of the world's seven best restaurants for wine.
Of course, if you just want to enjoy a quality steak, or you'd like to book a private party for business meetings, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, and birthdays, Metropolitan Grill gladly welcomes you for those things too.
