How to throw a Royal Wedding Watch party fit for a Princess

Royal watchers all over the world are counting down the minutes until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot at Windsor Castle. But you don't have to be royalty to party like a princess! The queen of cookies, Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies, invited us to her personal palace near Seattle for tips on throwing a stately soiree.

We got things started with a fancy pre-party drink with her Elderflower Rose Cocktail.

"The first step is rosé," said Keller. "This is inspired by the royal wedding cake, which is a lemon elderberry-flavored cake."

Next, Jenny spilled the tea on her gorgeous table setup.

"Welcome to my Royal Wedding Watch Party," she said. "For a party like this you have to have tea, you probably should have some food for your guests - so I made some classic tea party sandwiches. I made Cucumber& Dill Tea Sandwiches and I have Strawberry & Basil Tea Sandwiches as well as some really fun Chicken Salad Sandwiches that I put on apple slices. Healthy, right? And the last and most important thing is cookies."

There had to be cookies - lots of them. Some even featured flowers inside.

"I tested out something fun with my signature cookie recipe and baked edible flowers, then glazed them with my buttercream melted down," she said.

Up next-- a stacked Mini Lemon Cake, filled with lemon cream cheese frosting inspired by the royal wedding cake.

Finally... cookies the look like pies!

"They're a bestseller at our bakeshop, for our watch party we put funny puns on them!"

Like, "When Harry Met Meghan", "Party Like A Princess" and others.

Then it was time for Keller's gal pals to get the royal treatment. The ladies sipped tea and ate the sandwiches and treats - and enjoyed every minute.

So why have a Royal Wedding Watch Party?

"Why not? There's always a reason to celebrate... so why not have your girlfriends over and watch all of the beauty unfold."
