This weekend is the first Seahawks playoff game against the Detroit Lions and it's time to get yourself prepared. First order of business - the booze. You can't be decked out in your Seahawks gear without having a Seahawks inspired beverage in-hand. So here ya go, folks - the round up of beverages specifically for 12's.
Norm Johnson's"12s" 2013 Serenade from Northwest Cellars - Located in Kirkland, Northwest Cellars produces a slew of wines and also has a custom label program. The Norm Johnson wine is their 2013 Serenade with the "12's" label. The Seahawks inspired beverage is in partnership with former Seahawk Norm Johnson. The placekicker for the Seahawks from 1982-1990. Serenade is 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, 10% Malbec, 5% Carménère. Bottles are usually $19 but are currently on sale for $16.
12th Blend Wine by Eye of the Needle Winery - The 12th Blend is a red and white wine by Woodinville's Eye of the Needle Winery for 12s to enjoy. What's also great is that proceeds of sales of the 12th Blend go to Northwest Harvest; for every bottle sold, winery owners Bob and Lauren Bullock donate two meals to Northwest Harvest to feed those in need. The white wine is mostly Chenin Blanc with a touch of Riesling to make an off-dry wine that'd go well with Thai dishes or spicy food (like buffalo wings for the big game). The red wine is mostly Sangiovese and a touch of Merlot to add a touch of softness.
Batch No. 12 Spirits by Heritage Distilling Co. - Whiskey, Gin, and Vodka are the lineup of Gig Harbor's Heritage Distilling Co.'s Batch No. 12 spirits. Sure to please any 12 looking for a shot of whiskey, gin & tonic, or a vodka martini, these distilled spirits are available throughout the area at your favorite liquor store or available to ship via Heritage Distilling Co's website. Batch No. 12 also added a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Bourbon that'd be fine on ice or with a hit of cola or coffee.
Water. Duh. Hydrate people!
There you have it, 12s, a handful of local makers to fuel your passion for the Seahawks.
