If “cinnamon roll” is listed on the menu, you better believe I’m ordering one.
Is it because I’m a connoisseur of cinnamon rolls? Maybe. Or, perhaps I just have a sweet tooth that can’t resist the description of a homemade, doughy roll complete with a gooey center.
Whether I’m mixing, rolling, and baking up a batch of cinnamon rolls at home (click here to view my favorite recipe) or ordering one alongside an omelette at a local diner, cinnamon rolls are absolutely breakfast-approved dessert if you ask me! And if you’re reading this, I’m certain you agree. Cinnamon rolls are life.
It’s not just me though, I’m passing on the cinnamon roll gene to my four kids. My youngest licks his lips and practically salivates in anticipation of his next bite and my middle son will happily complete any chore in exchange for a cinnamon roll of his own. So, needless to say, if there is a cinnamon roll on the menu, our family is bound to order one or two to share.
And now, the insider scoop Willow & Jim’s Country Cafe in the quaint town of Silvana is serving up the best of the best when it comes to cinnamon rolls. Oh yes, get yourself to Silvana, and prepare yourself for a real treat!
Upon our move to Snohomish County I searched “best breakfast” and up popped WIllow and Jim’s. It seemed to be a local favorite and, as new locals, I felt called to check it out. My husband was working over the weekend so I surprised the kids with a breakfast adventure. We arrived to a full house, but were quickly seated, and soon, we were happily devouring our breakfast.
We loved everything - the strawberry crepes, the classic coffee, the extra crispy hash browns - but it was the cinnamon rolls that my kids raved about. I wholeheartedly agreed. Amazing!
The next weekend, we returned with my husband in tow. We couldn’t leave him out of our delicious discovery! He concurred, breakfast was A+, but those cinnamon rolls, my oh my, they were spectacular. Baked to perfection, WIllow & Jim’s cinnamon rolls are sweet, sticky, and sometimes sold out.
So, don’t sleep in too late on the morning you plan to embrace cinnamon roll heaven!
