Which WA city is considered a 'hidden gem' for brewskies?

Glug glug, guys and gals. This Friday is NATIONAL BEER DAY!

Because this is one of the hoppiest days of the year, Infogroup, a data service, wanted to see which US cities were “hidden gems” when it comes to brews, and one Washington city made the list. Mount Vernon!

Infogroup used their verified business database of more than 15 million records to identify which metro areas are home to the most beer retailers and breweries including craft and microbreweries. Once these were compiled, these cities were ranked by their concentration of beer-related businesses per 10,000 residents.

About an hour drive north will bring you to Mount Vernon, WA so maybe it's time for that road trip you've been looking to take, or just give you an idea of the next place to visit in our beer lovin' state.

Here’s the list of the top 10 cities:

  1. Bend, Ore.
  2. Boulder, Colo.
  3. Asheville, N.C.
  4. Fort Collins, Colo.
  5. Niles-Benton Harbor, Mich.
  6. Great Falls, Mont.
  7. Burlington, Vt.
  8. Corvallis, Ore.
  9. Mansfield, Ohio
  10. Mount Vernon, Wash.

Cheeeeeers! :)
