I love you Starbucks, but please, please, PLEASE don't do this to me.
Nothing represents and encompasses the beginning of ~fall season~ like the annual reintroduction of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Starting today, August 27, 2019, PSL is now being served in Starbucks' everywhere - and is also (according to Starbucks) the first official day of fall.
If you're not ready to turn in your summer iced coffee for the iconic Autumn beverage, Starbucks has introduced a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew that is described as "seriously smooth coffee sweetened with vanilla and topped with pumpkin infused, creamy cold foam for a hint of fall in every sip." It's fall flavored, with the coldness of a summer coffee, you feel me?
There are few things that make my blood boil as much as the end of summer, so this feels like a bittersweet day... the PSL is obviously a delicious treat, but represents so much. Goodbye summer 2019, goodbye sun tan and auf Wiedersehen to White Claws on the beach. See you next year.
